The makers of the drug Ambien responded to Roseanne Barr's racist tweets that she blamed on the drug.

Sanofi, the company that makes Ambien said in a tweet that, "racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

In a since-deleted tweet, Roseanne Barr blamed the sleep drug Ambien for the racist tweets that eventually got her popular television show canceled.

Her tweets came hours after she said she was "leaving Twitter" when the controversy broke Tuesday morning. Barr's popular show was canceled Tuesday.
