Ice has cleared in the Lower Niagara River, which means one thing: the final preparations are being made to launch the Maid of the Mist for the 2018 season.

The 133rd season for one of North America's longest running tourist attractions begins on April 27th and runs through November 4th.

"Our crew is ready to welcome guests to our iconic vessels, providing them with an unforgettable, monumental experience," Christopher Glynn said, president of Maid of the Mist.

Adult tickets cost $19.25; children (6-12 years) tickets are $11.20 and children five and under ride for free.

Beginning April 27th through May 18th, tours operate 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weekdays) and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (weekends).
