The earliest opening in the history of the Maid of the Mist propelled one of North America's oldest tourist attractions into a record year of business.
One-point-six million people climbed aboard Maid of the Mist VI and Maid of the Mist VII in 2016, a nine percent increase over the record attendance seen in 2015.
The season ended on November 6th.
Operators are using the off-season to install new anti-slip decking for 2017.
