A local union is voting Monday and Tuesday on whether to strike the Catholic Health's Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.

More than 2,200 registered nurses, technologists, service and clerical workers with CWA Local 1133 say they are fed up with the Hospitals refusal to embrace what they call a normal labor/management relationship.

Workers also say the hospital is refusing to provide enough workers to care for the patients and facilities and the ongoing pattern of concessionary contracts.

The voting will take place at the Knights of Columbus on South Legion Drive in Buffalo. Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
