WARSAW, N.Y. (WKBW) — Wyoming County Community Health System announced that it plans to resume elective surgeries as of May 4, 2020, in accordance with State and Regional Orders and Department of Health directives.
"We have taken unprecedented measures to protect the safety of our patients, healthcare workers and Community as a whole," said Dr. Paul Mason, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Chief Medical Officer
The health system said patients should understand that in these uncertain times and as with any surgery, each individual should consider the risks associated with the surgery related to their particular circumstances.
In addition, the health system said it believes that it minimized the risk, allowing it to return to providing the "level of high quality care that the community has enjoyed in the past and expects in the future."
