LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — A routine shopping trip ended with a deadly discovery for a woman in Niagara County on Friday.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the Rochester woman discovered the body of a man in the bed of her pick-up truck while loading groceries. The woman told investigators she left Wayne County Friday morning en route to Niagara County. The woman says she traveled through Wayne County, Monroe County and Orleans County before stopping at the Tops in Wrights Corners.
The woman could not identify the man found in her truck bed and Sheriff's Deputies say they have not been able to positively identify him either.
The deceased man was taken to the Erie County Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine his exact cause of death.
