Woman assaults individual with a bat, sets property on fire

BROCTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports a Brocton woman was arrested Thursday and faces multiple charges after an altercation that involved a baseball bat and property set on fire.

26-year-old Rose Weary was taken in to custody for what the sheriff's office described as "assaulting another individual with a baseball bat, biting them and lighting the individuals property on fire."

Weary is charged with second and third degree assault, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and fifth degree arson. She was arraigned and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
