BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo native is being recognized, thanks to his facial hair.
Christopher McCooey, 32, is one of ten finalists in the Wahl's Most Talented Beard in America Contest. The 2010 Canisius High School graduate shows off not only his big red beard but also his talents.
McCooey competes in obstacle course races and ninja competitions where he scales walls, leaps over barriers and jumps onto seemingly impossible targets. He's also used this love to help others. He coached at Build A Machine Fitness in Tonawanda until he accepted an operations position at a physical therapy practice in York, Pennsylvania.
Voting for Most Talented Beard in America runs until December 9th. Top prize is $20,000 and becoming a spokesperson for Wahl's, a facial hair trimming company.
