TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Town of Tonawanda announced Monday the winter parking ban that was previously delayed until December 15 has now been delayed to January 1, 2021.

Officials say the decision was made due to the favorable weather forecast.

The ban prohibits any vehicles from parking on streets in the town from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and was originally set to go into place at 12:01 a.m. on November 1. It has since been extended several times.

"In the unlikely event of a significant snowfall, please use common sense and remove your car from the street so that our Town Highway plows can clear the snow. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated," a release states.
