Williamsville man injured in two vehicle crash

AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Amherst police are investigating a crash involving two vehicles that left one driver with serious injuries.

Police say the crash happened around 3:30 pm Tuesday on Essjay Road.

According to police, a 76-year-old Williamsville man was driving his vehicle when he suffered what appears to be a medical emergency before hitting another vehicle. He was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in critical condition.

The other driver, a 40-year-old Kenmore woman, and a two-year-old passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police say the accident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Amherst Police Department at 689-1311.
