BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers nationwide about a company that claims to be operating out of Buffalo.

It's called Gearow.com, and it sells outdoor equipment.

People in 41 states have reported placing orders with the site, and never receiving the items or any form of correspondence, according to the BBB.

Many said they got fake tracking numbers and that they could not get through to customer service. Some reported receiving packages after months of waiting, and found the packages were coming from overseas, based on the postage markings.

The BBB said it investigated the company and found all of the phone numbers associated with the company were disconnected. Also, the address listed on the website -- 146 Virginia Street -- is that of a storage facility in Buffalo.

Because of the complaint activity, the BBB has given the company has an F rating.
