CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A man who police say 'canvassed' portions of Cheektowaga with white nationalist pamphlets will be charged with littering.

According to Cheektowaga Police, the pamphlets were published by the Racial Nationalist Party of America. Detectives were able to locate and identify the person who distributed the material.

The pamphlets, according to investigators, contained offensive racial and religious wording. Police were able to trace the origins of the pamphlets to a Lockport PO Box return address.

Police say Karl Hand admitted to distributing the pamphlets-- and said he will continue to distribute white nationalist pamphlets in the future.

The drops were random and not targeted, police say. No criminal charges will be filed. However, Cheektowaga Police will issue the suspect a Summons for Littering.

Police will hold a news conference at 3:00 p.m. Monday to discuss the case.
