West Seneca man on parole for attempted rape of minor pleads guilty to child pornography charge

WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy announced a West Seneca man on parole for the attempted rape of a 12-year-old girl in 2013 pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography Thursday.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office a search warrant of 27-year-old Justin Wheeler's cell phone was executed in October 2017, the phone contained 90 images and 269 videos of child pornography.

Wheeler was on parole for a 2013 conviction for attempted rape in the first degree in regards to his sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl.

He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
