KENMORE, N.Y. (WKBW) — We all know, it’s very easy to talk about eating healthy, actually doing it is the real challenge. But there are options out there on all sides of the spectrum to help you do it.

"A lot of people try it and then they’re hooked, so maybe you’ll get hooked on just eating good," said Penney Rank, who works at Eat Rite Foods.

Rank says it's been extra busy at their Kenmore location. Each day they're selling out of soups, wraps, bowls and more. They offer more than 30 options of pre-made healthy meals.

"People are trying to like have a good jump start for the new year, so they’re like hey maybe I should try to eat healthy and do the best thing possible for myself because 2020 did kind of kill that for everybody," said Rank.

It’s an alternative option for those trying to eat healthy who aren’t exactly chefs or don’t have the time to spend in the kitchen.

"We have walk in specials every day, fresh never frozen meals. We offer really good prices that are comparable," said Rank.

They're offering 21% off orders to celebrate 2021. Pricing for a single meal costs around $7. You can also buy in bulk:

  • 10 meals costs $60
  • 25 meals costs $142
  • 40 meals costs $221

On the flip side-- if you’re feeling extremely ambitious this year, you can branch out and make your own healthy food.

Blegacy farms in Franklinville is offering plots of land to grow crops.

"We will buy from them any fruit or vegetables they successfully create. People don’t lack skill, they don’t lack talent, they lack opportunity," said Alexander Wright, Founder of Blegacy farms.

Of course, you can always run to the grocery store and do it yourself, but WNY is full of options for you. So whether you’re doing it from scratch or buying your meal pre-made. Eating healthy is all about:

"Just consistency. Try not to kill yourself, try not to have goals that aren’t attainable. Just make sure you try to come in, eat healthy, take an option see where it goes," said Rank.

Good luck WNY!
