TOWN OF HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County Water Authority crews were in the Town of Hamburg working to repair a stretch of Lake Shore Road, between Lake View Rd. and Eckhardt Rd, after an early Thursday morning water main break.
The authority asked customers in the area surrounding the break to "conserve water to the best of their abilities Thursday evening" as crews continued to repair the break in the transmission main.
ECWA announced the repairs were completed Friday morning.
One lane had been closed as crews worked on repairs.
Crews determined there was a break in a 48 inch transmission main on Lake Shore Road.
Residents in the areas north and west of the Village of Hamburg may have experienced low water pressure, but authorities made adjustments to the system to increase pressure in those areas as they worked on the repair.
Both county crews and outside contractors were involved.
