Want to listen to free live music? You can at Artpark starting this Sunday

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — Beginning this Sunday, you can listen to live music at Artpark in Lewiston for free for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2020 Music in the Woods Series will provide free live music performances at Artpark's Lower Park Emerald Grove.

The series will begin with a series of drum circles led by Stephen Bell of Unity Through Rhythm.

Chairs will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own chair.

Those performances will take place July 19th and 26th, as well as August 2nd and 23rd beginning at 2 p.m.

Attendance will be capped at 25 people and you can RSVP at least 24 hours in advance by sending an email to artpark@artpark.net.

Svetlana & The New York Collective will perform on July 26th at 4 p.m., attendance will be capped at 50 people.

UB Faculty Jazz Quartet with guest vocalist Alex McArthur will perform on August 2nd at 4 p.m., attendance will be capped at 50 people.

Alarm Will Sound will perform “Ten Thousand Birds” by John Luther Adams on August 9th at 6:30 p.m. at the Artpark Mainstage Theater Terrace.

Attendance for that performance will be capped at 100 people.

Baroque Dreams will perform on August 16th at 6:30 p.m., attendance will be capped at 100 people.

The Buffalo Jazz Composers Workshop will perform on August 23rd at 4 p.m., attendance will be capped at 50 people.

Additionally, the Art Bar will be offering snacks, beer, wine and other beverages, and exclusive catered dinners to groups of 10-20 people.

Artpark says you will need to wear a mask and maintain social distancing will attending performances.
