BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Officials with The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts are asking for people to volunteer for the festival.
"Volunteers are the heart of our festival, and this year we are looking for new members to join our team," said Katherine Pessecow, the Volunteer Coordinator for the festival. "The festival is a great way for volunteers to get involved in their community, collect community service hours and network."
Officials say they are looking for volunteers to assist with the site crew, KidsFest, cultural and environmental row and food stations. Volunteers will receive vendor discounts, free festival shirts, letters of recommendation, and community service hours.
The festival will take place Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 on Elmwood Avenue and Lafayette Avenue. If interested, you are asked to email the organization at eafvolunteering@gmail.com.
