ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — More than 100 of the Bills faithful came out to New Era Field for a vigil to pay their respects to the late Bills superfan, Pancho Billa. In attendance was Bills Defensive Tackle , Harrison Phillips, who shared a special bond with Billa.
“It started when he called my name at the draft," Phillips said. “Our fan base is undefeated and this is a prime example of that and seeing all the people that have come out to support Pancho who might not even have a personal relationship with him.”
As part of Billa's final wish, Western New York has raised more than $70,000 that will send more than 7,000 students to school next year with free school supplies. During the vigil, more than 200 backpacks were donated.
