BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard is announcing new procedures for the visit of inmates.

Sheriff Howard encourages family and friends to stay in contact with individuals held at the holding center and correctional facility by video visitation and phone calls.

Last week the Sheriff announced a program to provide inmates two and a half free hours of video visitations during the suspension of in-person contacts.

He also approved the transfer of $10.00 from the commissary fund into inmate accounts.

These funds are designated for phone calls and video visits.
