BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The coronavirus pandemic is having an "unprecedented" impact on the New York State Thruway, according to officials.
The Thruway Authority reports toll revenue has dropped 36 percent from March 8 through the end of April, compared to the same time in 2019.
The amount of traffic has also seen a sharp decline, down 48 percent since this time last year.
The information was released during a Thruway Authority board meeting telephone conference Tuesday.
