BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Lorna C. Hill, founder and Artistic Director of Ujima Company, Inc. died of cancer on Tuesday, June 30. Hill is best know for her contributions to the Buffalo theatre community and the lessons she taught her students.
“She believed that theatre has a place in everyone's life and there were stories that needed to be told and actors and actresses who’s voices needed to be heard,” a former student recalls.
"Her dedication to theatre and the stories that she told over the years was just something that was a very big priority for herself, for her community, and for the world,” her son Amilcar Hill said.
