BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 20-year-old UB student involved in a hit-and-run has been sentenced to a conditional discharge and 150 hours of community service.

Investigators say Hannah Christensen was traveling in a 2005 Honda Civic back in November when she struck a UB student from Singapore. The hit-and-run happened on Hadley Road in front of the Hadley Village Apartments in Amherst.

The student who was injured was taken to ECMC where she was treated for head injuries. Christensen pleaded guilty to one count of Leaving the Scene of an Incident Without Reporting back in May.

A "conditional discharge" means Christensen will not serve any jail time as long as she stays in good standing with the court and follows the terms of her release-- including completion of community service.
