U.S. News and World Report: University at Buffalo has some of the top graduate programs in the U.S.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — U.S News and World Report is giving some high praise to various programs at University at Buffalo for its 2020 rankings.

A number of programs, including engineering, medicine, business, law, education, nursing and public health got honors on the list just released today.

The school of Social Work received the highest rank at 25 — for the second year in a row.

The School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, jumped from 73rd to 47th best program overall.

UB’S full time MBA program is at spot #66.

The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences placed 63rd.

“Numerous departments and programs within the school of engineering also rose in the new rankings, including aerospace (36), chemical (36), environmental (51), computer (52), mechanical (58), electrical (62), biomedical (63) and materials engineering (70). The school’s civil (36) and industrial engineering (29) programs were also ranked highly,” the university said in a statement.

The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences ranked in two categories: research (75) and primary care (78).

The School of Public Health and Health Professions is ranked at #37 in the public health field.

The School of Law is at #104 across the board but pulled higher rankings for its environmental (82), international (87) and tax law (96), and legal writing (94) programs.
