BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Two Western New York nonprofits received new vans as part of the Ford Friendship Express program Monday.

The Dale Association and Renaissance Addiction Services each have a brand new van tonight.

"Launched in Buffalo in 1996, the Ford Friendship Express program provides an opportunity for organizations in need of transportation to share their stories in hopes of receiving a new Ford van," a release states. "This year, the Ford Friendship Express Selection committee reviewed dozens of applications, narrowing the final recipients to two inspiring organizations."

The Dale Association helps adults of all ages maintain their independence by helping them remain active and healthy.

Renaissance Addiction Services helps families struggling to recover.

The organizations depend greatly on transportation as part of their mission to serve the public.
