BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo police announced Saturday an arrest has been made in connection with a fatal west side stabbing.
Police were called to a home on 15th Street between Vermont and Connecticut Street around 12:30am on Thursday.
According to investigators, a man and woman were both found stabbed inside the home where they lived together. The 57-year-old woman identified as Alina Vega-Lantoron was found dead in the bathroom of the home.
53-year-old Jose Eiras Oviedo, who is being charged with second degree murder following Vega-Lantoron's death, was also found with stab wounds and is in fair condition at ECMC under police guard.
Police initially said early reports indicated this was a domestic incident, but no further details have been released.
