Two people charged in fireworks incident

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WKBW) — Two teenagers have been charged in a fireworks incident that injured a woman on the Fourth of July.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says a 58-year-old woman was struck by a firework that was set off illegally on Bayshore Drive in Dunkirk. The woman was taken to ECMC.

On Monday an 18-year-old woman from Amherst and a 19-year-old man from Buffalo were arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree. Their names have not been released.
