BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Two people were sent to Erie County Medical Center on Monday to be treated for gunshot wounds after two separate shootings.

A 24-year-old man arrived at Sisters Hospital around 11 a.m. with a gunshot wound, according to Buffalo Police spokesperson Michael DeGeorge. Hospital staff transferred him to ECMC, where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives are looking at the possibility that the incident happened near Bailey Avenue and Connelly Avenue, according to DeGeorge. 7 Eyewitness News has not independently confirmed what evidence or testimony is pointing detectives to this intersection.

About five hours later, at 4:15pm, DeGeorge says a shooting in the first block of Victoria Avenue left a man with a gunshot wound in the leg. He was transported to ECMC to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
