ROYALTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says two men have been charged for grand larceny after they were accused of stealing dirt bikes and placing them in a U-Haul.

Authorities say 21-year-old Michael Ronghi of Buffalo and 20-year-old Todd Beyer of Cheektowaga allegedly contacted people in Wolcottsville Road in Royalton and in Pendelton on Facebook Marketplace, saying they wanted to take the dirt bikes for a test drive.

Deputies say one of the two suspects would drive off with the bike while the other was parked in the area with a U-Haul truck.

Officers were eventually able to find the U-Haul truck and pulled them over.

Ronghi and Beyer were charged and released and face future court dates in Pendleton and Royalton.
