ELBA, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State Police say two people are dead following a crash on Route 98 in the Town of Elba Saturday afternoon.
According to police, a vehicle was traveling north on Route 98 near Edgerton Road when the operator lost control on the snow covered roadway and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound.
The two occupants in the vehicle that lost control, 53-year-old Teresa M. Norton and 22-year-old Thomas M. Norton both of Albion, were declared deceased at the scene by the Genesee County Coroner.
The operator of the car traveling southbound was transported to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
