Two firefighters injured during fire on Buffalo's east side

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Two firefighters are recovering from injuries after fighting a house fire on Buffalo's east side.

According to the city spokesperson, the fire started around 8 pm at a house in the 1300 block of Kensington Avenue.

Officials say two firefighters were injured and have both been treated and released from Erie County Medical Center.

The Red Cross is assisting nine people after the fire.

Damage after the fire is estimated at $125,000.

The cause remains under investigation.
