CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Tim Hortons sustained significant damage after a truck slammed into the building, according to police.
City of Tonawanda police say the crash happened at the Tim Hortons located at 71 Niagara Street around 7:30 pm Wednesday.
No one was injured.
The driver, 19-year-old Michael Rodriguez, was issued two tickets for imprudent speed due to conditions and an expired trailer plate. Police say his pickup, along with a trailer he was towing, slid on the roadway, jackknifed and then hit the building near the drive-thru.
