LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — City of Lockport fire officials say a truck carrying driveway sealant rolled over at a Lockport gas station Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. at the Kenyon's Variety on Lincoln Avenue.
The driveway sealant leaked from the large tank on the back of the truck and out into the parking lot eventually making its way into a storm drain.
After efforts were put in place to stop the spread of the leaking driveway sealant, officials from water maintenance and waste water determined the amount of the driveway sealer as well as the product itself would not cause any damage to the storm sewer system. After further investigation it was determined none of the material was found in the storm sewer system after it was cleaned off the receiver.
Officials say the owner of the driveway sealant business is cooperating and only one of the three vehicle occupants were injured. No further details were released.
