BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Kidney Foundation of WNY hosted their annual tree decorating and lighting on Wednesday. The ceremony honors those who have given the gift of life.
The tree is located in the lobby of the ECMC Dialysis Center.
Living organ donors, families of donors and recipients all attended the event.
The organization also highlights the need for organ donation.
More than 113,000 Americans are currently waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant, according to the Kidney Foundation.
