GASPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Slayton Settlement Road, just west of Quaker Hill Road in Gasport, will be closed for one week starting on Monday, February 15th.
The closure is due to bridge construction.
“This is the first of three separate times the road will need be closed for this project,” said Niagara County Legislator Mike Hill (R-Middleport). “The next anticipated closure would be in late spring.”
Niagara County Department of Public Works says the bridge work will require placing a 20 foot wide precast concrete arch within the deteriorated metal structure of the bridge and grouting the annular space.
