Tractor trailer hits state trooper vehicle parked along I-86

ALLEGANY COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A New York State trooper is recovering from injuries suffered after the trooper's vehicle was hit from behind this morning on I-86 in the Allegany County Town of Almond.

State police say the trooper's car was parked on the shoulder, behind a disabled camper, with its emergency lights on this morning when it was hit on the rear side by the rear passenger side of the tractor trailer. The trooper was in the vehicle at the time.

The trooper was taken to Jones Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer was issued several traffic tickets including fail to move over for emergency vehicles.
