TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Town of Tonawanda dispatcher is under investigation and could soon be fired.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office is investigating Brett Rider for some form of alleged conduct.

Separately, the Town Board passed a resolution on Monday to let the town supervisor or police chief to discipline dispatcher Brett Rider.

The Board would not explain what Rider is accused of doing, but this case has the town taking a closer look at harassment training.

"We want all of our departments to educate their employees and get good training on a variety of topics, harassment being one of them," said Joseph Emminger, Town of Tonawanda Supervisor.

Emminger added that the Town did not conduct harassment training this year because of COVID-19.

"But we've done it in prior years and we hope to continue to do it next year," said Emminger.

Rider is suspended without pay.
