TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Town of Tonawanda has reduced the school zone speed limit on Kenmore Avenue in the area of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute to 20 miles per hour.
Town of Tonawanda police say this was done in conjunction with the City of Buffalo and Erie County in order to improve safety around schools.
The reduced speed limit is in effect on school days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The request came from St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, as students cross Kenmore Avenue frequently.
