TOWN OF AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Town of Aurora has made the decision to cancel it's July 3rd celebration due to COVID-19 concerns.

During the virtual town board meeting Monday evening, the board voted unanimously to cancel the fireworks, parade and any activities associated with the annual event.

The board said any funds set aside for this year will be used towards the event in 2021.

Earlier this week, West Seneca canceled their Community Days celebration originally scheduled for the end of June.
