WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Tops Friendly Markets says it is expanding its contactless shopping options throughout its stores.
Most Tops locations will have 'tap and go payment' options including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, along with other compatible credit and debit cards.
Tops says it plans on fully implementing this service by the end of 2020.
“In a time where we are laser focused on everything we are coming into contact with, Tap & Go payment is a great way to offer peace of mind to our shoppers,” said Kathy Sautter, public and media relations manager for Tops Friendly Markets.
Tops is also implementing a service where you can use your phone to scan and bag your items as you shop.
When you do this, you can find savings and rewards being applied automatically to your shopping cart.
You you finish you can visit any pay station for expedited checkout.
This service piloted this summer and is available at these six locations across Western New York
- Buffalo/Kenmore, 1740 Sheridan Drive
- East Amherst, 9660 Transit Road
- East Aurora, 65 Grey Street
- Grand Island, 2140 Grand Island Boulevard
- Hamburg, 6150 South Park Avenue
- Orchard Park, 3201 Southwestern Boulevard

"It’s so easy to use. All you need to do is download the Tops Shop + Scan app, connect to our free in-store Wi-Fi, enter your Tops BonusPlus card number, and you are ready to shop."
Tops is making electronic gift cards available for purchase which you can buy online at topsmarkets.com/giftcards and choose between digital eGift cards sent by email or traditional plastic gift cards delivered by postal mail.
Digital eGift cards can be delivered immediately to the recipient's inbox or you can choose a specific date and time for arrival.
