AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Three people received minor injuries after a police chase ended in a crash on Delaware Ave in the Town of Tonawanda.

A lieutenant with the Amherst Police Department says this all began near Transit and Maple Road. Police say they received a report of a stolen vehicle in the area. Amherst Police say they found the vehicle being driven by Stephen Gebura of Buffalo around 8 Wednesday night.

Police say while traveling west on Maple, Gebura rammed into an APD car. The chase ended up in Tonawanda at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Sheridan Drive, that's where police saw Gebura run a red light and hit another car.

Amhest Police say Gebura attempted to run, but he was arrested.

One APD officer hurt his hand in the chase. Two other bystanders were taken to Kenmore Mercy for minor injuries.
