AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Mike Schopp's been talking Bills at WGR for about two decades, but he said this season, the talk's been different.

"Just about every way it's different than almost every year, or literally every year since I got here," Schopp said.

He said he usually talks about six, seven, or eight win seasons, but not this time.

"Talking about it has been pretty much the same, you get into Thanksgiving and it's almost over and then by the time you get to like this week or next week you're playing out the string," he said. "This year of course is totally different."

The Bills are already in the driver's seat for a playoff birth. If the Bills win one more game, it'll be their first ten win season since 1999. The only thing standing between the Bills and a 10th win on Sunday are the red-hot Baltimore Ravens.

Schopp said some fans who call in are a tougher sell on success, growing accustomed over the years to disappointing seasons. Schopp said players he's spoken with say they have turned the page. Adding that with a young quarterback showing improvement, this may only be the start of good things to come.

"People can also really believe that the team might stay good after this season, and that's an exciting part of it," he said.
