BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Bisons will honor 1,000 hometown heroes during "Thank a Vet Day at the Ballpark" this May.
The Bisons, Duff's Famous Wings and Erie County Clerk Michael Kearns are teaming up to offer free tickets to the May 18th game.
Veterans who are enrolled in the clerk's Thank a Vet Discount Program will be offered a free ticket voucher. The vouchers will be available at the cler's office on Franklin Street and at Kearns' outreach events.
The Bisons are also offering a discounted rate of $14 per ticket when anyone visits the Thank A Vet Event Page on their website, bisons.com. Half of the proceeds from tickets purchased on the site will go to the Veterans Post Restoration of Erie County.
