GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Department is trying to figure out what caused a one car crash on Grand island.
Investigators tell us the driver, a 17-year old male, lost control of his car on Staley Road and struck a tree on Monday night.
Rescue crews found the driver unconscious and not moving. No one else was in the car. The driver was flown to the Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight with internal and lower body injuries.
Police are not releasing the name of the driver because he is a minor.
