CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A knife attack during a fight at the Walden Galleria has led to a felony charge against a teenage girl.
Cheektowaga Police say 2 15-year-old girls, who know each other, were fighting in a parking lot at the Galleria on Saturday night when one of the girls pulled out a knife and slashed at the other teen. The victim suffered an abdomen wound that was initially treated at the scene before she was taken to ECMC for more treatment. She has since been released from the hospital.
The attacker fled into the Galleria but was found by Cheektowaga Police and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Due to the age of the suspect, the case will be handled by Family Court.
