BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — It was sunny and warm this afternoon, that is until a powerful squall moved through the southtowns.
The sun was shining one minute, before thunder could be heard in West Seneca shortly after 2pm on Sunday.
Powerful winds then kicked up, and sheets of rain and hail blew sideways for about 5 minutes.
The hail was about the size of a ball bearing.
Enough rain also fell in that short time period to cause some minor backyard flooding.
The temperature also dropped about 10 degrees from the low 70s to the low 60's.
