LACKWANNA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Students at the Martin Road Elementary School in Lackawanna put their principal in a "sticky" situation Friday.
As a reward for the students completing a five-week reading challenge the students were able to duct tape their principal to a wall during lunch periods.
The goal of the five-week reading challenge was to help promote literacy and motivate students to read.
The students had to read at least 250,000 minutes, a representative for the school district says the total number of minutes read was 408,000.
