HINSDALE, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York state police troopers in Machias arrested a Franklinville man on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities determined that 35-year-old Dale E. Forrester allowed two children to kayak after sunset without cell phones, flashlight, and personal flotation devices at Olean Creek in Hinsdale.
Rescue teams conducted a successful search for the two children after they went missing.
Forrester is expected to appear in Hinsdale Town Court some time in September.
