Erie County State of Emergency lifted, roads reopening

ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A State of Emergency for all of Erie County has been lifted as of 3 pm Thursday. Travel bans have also been lifted across all of Erie County.

Officials say there is still a travel advisory in Southern Erie County, but if you need to head out use caution. The travel advisory for Northern Erie County has been lifted.

Governor Cuomo announced Thursday morning there has been one fatality due to weather which was in Livingston County, no other details were released.

The tractor trailer ban on the Thruway is expected to be lifted Thursday night.

Erie County Offices will reopen on Friday.

The Skyway, the 219, Abbott Road, Route 5 (from Rogers Road in Hamburg to the 190 in Buffalo) is closed.

County officials also announced Thursday morning that that Route 400 is closed.
