Star of 'American Chopper' steps in to help get Vietnam War wall built in East Aurora

EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Orange County Choppers from the Discovery Channel show American Chopper custom designed a bike, which was donated by Sahlen's, that is being used to help build a Vietnam War memorial wall at Knox Farm State Park in East Aurora.

"We can almost never give back enough, considering what we have and what we enjoy here," Sahlen's President Joseph Sahlen said.

The bike will be auctioned off, with an expectation for it to take in between $150,000 and $200,000. The wall is anticipated to cost around $500,000.

"It means a lot" Paul Teutul Jr, founder of Orange County Choppers said, "It means a lot, what they do."

The Knox Farms Vietnam Wall will be similar to the one in Washington, D.C. Construction is expected to begin in 2020.
