BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State police say speed was a cause of a motorcycle crash that killed a Buffalo man Friday night.

The one-vehicle crash occurred just before midnight on the I-190 south near Downtown Buffalo.

Police say 34-year-old Oasis T. Williams was operating his motorcycle at a high rate of speed and lost control causing him to strike a concrete barrier and guide rail. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy will be performed at ECMC.
